Colonel Gerhard Friedrich Prawitt's original identity pass which appears to have been in use between 1938 - 1939. Colonel Prawitt was Commandant of Colditz between 13th February 1943 to 16th April 1945 during WW2, and this lot also includes his original Colditz Oflag IVc ID photo as Commandant dated 15th February 1943, which he removed from the records himself towards the end of the war.
There is also an original photograph in this lot of Prawitt and his wife in 1960.
