A small collection containing two postcards, a US air mail envelope and a prisoner of war mail envelope relating to a Obergefreiter (Corporal) Wilhelm Glißmann. Glißmann was a German prisoner of war held in the U.S.A at Camp Shelby.
The postcards are dated 1943 and the envelopes are both stamped as August 1941 during WW2.
Additionally, this collection contains a set of nine stamps commemorating the 700th anniversary of the town of Colditz, adding a unique historical dimension to this lot.
